Description
Based on the theoretical and experimental studies conducted, a radically new pneumatic vibration protection system with a rubber-cord casing has been designed. The system features a quasi-zero stiffness and a smooth, without any abrupt changes, transition therefrom to a high stiffness during contraction and extension. Setting up nonequilibrium working processes in the air spaces of the vibration protection modules dispenses with hydraulic shock absorbers. Its advantages: a far simpler and cheaper driver seat design, the natural frequency of the seat being less than 1.2 Hz and the gain factor being no greater than 1.2; no hydraulic shock absorbers are needed; a several-fold reduction in driver vibration level in comparison with existing analogs.
