Description
Fitting is a connecting element of pipeline installed in the areas of its branching, turns, transfers to other diameter and also in case of need for frequent assemblying and disassemblying of pipes. Fittings also serve for hermetic shutdown of pipeline and other auxiliary chains. Depending on their purpose, fittings can be of the following types: knee bends (change direction by 90, 45 degrees, etc.), T-bends (provide branching in one direction), cross fittings (provide branching in two directions), pipe unions (connect pipes of straight section), plugs, caps (used for hermetic sealing of pipe ends), etc. Materials used for fittings are malleable iron, steel, etc.
